Celebrating Laura's birthday with our friends!

Singing happy birthday!

Max worked hard on his Science Fair project! He was investigating if it's possible to drop an unprotected egg and have it not break. The answer? If you drop an egg on grass or turf it will not break! Pretty cool. We took some photos for his poster board since the experiment could not be demonstrated in class.

The egg still did not break even when thrown on the grass from a second story window!

Max and Dad built this gauntlet as part of a "suit of armor" Max and his friends are building out of cardboard. :-)

Baseball season is underway! Max got to try catcher, but prefers other positions. He sure did look cool in all the gear, though!

Max wanted to "burn stuff" so Ben and Max watched some fire safety videos and "burned stuff" out in the driveway!

International Day at school! Max's group was assigned to research Egypt. They built this "pyramid" and had fantastic research, music, and food!

The group's first attempt was to build a pyramid out of cardboard boxes... it was unsuccessful. :-)

Grandpa came to Atlanta for a business trip and had an opportunity to meet up with Ben and Max for dinner one evening! Unfortunately I (Laura) was away on a business trip to New Orleans that week so I missed the fun, but heard it was a fun guys night out!

Max's class went on a field trip to a water treatment plant, and Max got to help with one of the demonstrations!

Max and his best friend from summer camp, Michael, both LOVE all things Greek mythology and Percy Jackson (a book series). Michael's mom is quite crafty and made the boys matching sweatshirts that go with the book series!
