1 Week Old- Umbilical cord stump falls off
2 Weeks Old- First bath in the tub
6 Weeks Old- Begin smiling and cooing
1 Month Old- Begin using right hand intentionally
2 Months Old- Begin using left hand intentionally
2 Months Old (almost three)- Start daycare three days a week
3 Months Old- Begin to understand cause and effect
3 Months Old- Stop swaddling for naps and at night
4 Months Old- Move out of Mom and Dad's bedroom and begin sleeping upstairs in crib at night
4 Months Old- Baptism
4 Months Old- Begin laughing
4 Months Old- Discover feet
5 Months Old- Roll tummy to back
5 Months Old (one week shy of six months)- Two bottom front teeth begin to emerge
6 Months Old- Start eating solids
6 Months Old- Sit up on your own
6 Months Old- We discover your first "tickle spot" (rubbing your neck just above your collar bone)
7 Months Old- Sit in a restaurant high chair
7 or 8 Months Old- Crawls/scoots backwards regularly
8 Months Old- Rolls back to tummy
8 Months Old- Develops pincer grasp
8 Months Old- Rocks back and forth on hands and knees
8 Months Old (a few days shy of nine months)- Top two teeth begin to emerge
9 Months Old- Begin crawling
9 Months Old- Able to back in to a seated position from a crawling position
9 Months Old- Begin picking up food to eat (in addition to purees, etc.)
9 Months Old (a few days shy of 10 months)- Able to pull up to stand
10 Months Old- Begin cruising
10 Months Old- Intentionally putting objects inside other objects
10 Months Old- Able to find objects you cannot see by feeling around with your hand
10 Months Old- Master use of a sippy cup
11 Months Old- Start taking baths in the big tub
11 Months Old- Able to tell us animal sounds (sheep and turkey)
11 Months Old- Dances when music starts to play
11 Months Old- Gestures in the appropriate direction when hears a dog barking and says "Doh!"
13 Months Old- Start walking independently
14 Months Old- First word: Apple
16 Months Old- Mostly master use of a spoon
18 Months Old- First "big boy" hair cut
20 Months Old- Begin stringing words together, simple two word "sentences"
