Weekend Fun

Here are some photos from the past few weekends... lots of fun!

I love that Max's round little belly pokes out in to the bottom right corner of this photo! haha

Daddy's little helper! Let's hope Max is still this enthusiastic about yard work in about 12 years.

Just having a snack and wearing my "yamaka".   :-)

Tumbling Class

This summer Max took a tumbling "class" through the Forsyth County Parks & Rec Department. I use the term "class" pretty loosely as it was more "go around the room with your kid" than a class. Not a single group activity the whole six weeks, except for one "stretching" activity when they had a substitute teacher. Oh, well. Max had fun and at least we now know what "open format class" means in the program guide!

Here are some photos of our budding gymnast!

Not a huge fan of hanging from the bar. haha

Stretching before class!

Max liked "making a mountain" (as the teacher called it!), and occasionally put his own spin on it by lifting one leg in the air.

Jump!

Balance beam! Max got pretty good at this activity and could do it just hanging on to us with one hand by the end.

Forward roll!!

Videos!

If you listen carefully, "Wheels on the Bus" is playing the background and Max chimes in the "the town!" (as in "...all through the town!"). The little foot stomping thing at the end is his version of jumping... hasn't quite mastered having two feet leave the ground. :-)

Summertime Fun

Just your average Saturday morning at the Lilly house...

I love to read!

Walking with my wagon!

Piano "lessons" from Great Grammie!

Going for a run with Dad at the park.

Fun at the splash pad in Roswell!

Being silly while we're out for pizza!

"Tree? Hug?"

"Helping" with the hose.

Handsome boy in a cool shirt with one of Cousin Nolan's designs!

Video Dump

Here are a bunch of videos from the past month or so (and one throw back to infancy for kicks!). Enjoy!

I'm not sure I ever posted this to the blog, but here is a video of Max waking up as a baby! I think he is about two months old. He was so tiny and precious!!

Applesauce!

One item at a time certainly isn't the most efficient way to empty the dryer, but it gets the job done!

Daddy sure does have big shoes to fill!

Max just might have a future in acting!

Max says...

Max: Gesturing toward the living room Jesus!

Mommy: Jesus? Where is Jesus?

Max: Pointing enthusiastically Couch!

Mommy: Jesus is on the couch?

Max: Nods "yes" urgently

------

Ha! So, apparently Jesus hangs out on our couch while we eat dinner. Good to know!

Camp Hiawassee

Every June the entire Lilly family descends upon Hiawassee for a week of family fun. Max was just a baby, not yet crawling last summer so this year was quite different! He loved being in a house full of people (and dogs), and continued to ask for everyone by name once we returned home. Here are a few snapshots of Max from the week!

Not so sure about kayaking just yet! (Note Charlie the dog standing watch in the background. He was Max's shadow the whole week!)

Mr. Cool with Mommy's sunglasses on his head.

A bowl... or a dapper hat. You decide. :-)

Excited for a boat ride!

You know... just relaxing on the couch and reading a magazine...

Not a bad view to start the day...

Granddaddy and Max enjoyed a few "hikes" near the house with the baby backpack!

Accompanying Uncle John and Uncle Craig on his "guitar" (aka dulcimer)...

The whole crew! A good looking group...

A more realistic photograph.   :-)

All three of us in the SAME picture! Wahoo!
