January and February so far...

"I love Mommy. Mommy loves Max."  Sweet message found on a work notepad!

Spelling from Max: I lv mome. Mome lvs Max.  :-)

Snow day! Ended up being a thin layer of hard icy snow. Still fun to crunch around in, even though our tiny guy was bummed we couldn't scrape up enough to make a snowball.

Snow day activity: Make every single puzzle we own!

Celebrating Monty's fourth birthday! (My friend, Alicia (aka Monty's mom), is REALLY crafty and made costumes out of boxes for all the kids.)

Riding bikes with Daddy at the park!

Hiking, snuggles, and snacks!

 Saskia's fourth birthday party!

Helping with chores! (with ear protection)

Reading at the library.

Snuggles and a movie with Daddy.

Chick-fil-a indoor playground!

Mow your lawns, people.

Playing at the park with Daddy.

Christmas Day (afternoon) in Hiawassee.

Silly dinosaur...

Super tall Lego tower!

Christmas 2016

Here's a little peek at Christmas 2016! It was a magical one, for sure. (Photos are wildly out of order... posting in the order they're saved for convenience. Thanks for "going with the flow"!)

Baking and decorating gingerbread cookies on Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve church service at a small, local church.

Excited Christmas Eve snuggles with Mommy.

Nothing like a Chinese dinner on Christmas Eve! "Fa ra ra ra!" https://youtu.be/xTq20prt0K8

Shhhh! Santa came!

Opening his stocking...toothpaste! haha

Leaving a Christmas cookie for Santa!

...and apples and carrots for Rudolph!

Look! Santa sat down to read a book and enjoy his milk and cookies when he stopped by!

Santa brought the red scooter Max asked for!! (That's a half real / half forced smile...)

Checking out stocking stuffers.

Being silly! (Hey, look out the window... dawn!)

Trying out his new scooter in his pajamas!

Our annual birthday party for Jesus at breakfast!

"I'll blow out Jesus' birthday candle since he couldn't come to our house."

The next two photos are hard to see because I didn't want to turn on Max's bedroom light and wake him up. Max usually sleeps on the side of his bed by the door. On Christmas Eve he wanted one of his shades up so he could watch for Santa, and fell asleep right at the very edge of the bed on the window side of his room. :-)

The full set-up after Santa delivered presents late on Christmas Eve night!
