March 2021

A few photos of our March adventures!

Max and Coach Paul after Max received the game ball for his hard work on the field!

Palm Sunday! Max is the blurry blonde headed kid. :-)

Max got to take a turn leading part of the warm-up at baseball practice one evening.

Green milk for St. Patrick's Day! (BBQ tofu, apples, steamed kale, and mac and cheese are a traditional Irish meal, right? Haha)

After trying a friend's scooter, Max wanted one so he agreed split the cost with us and he quickly became a WHIZ at riding! It's crazy to see how quickly he gained confidence (especially as a very cautious child) to ride down big hills, over bumps, etc. on the scooter. We can barely keep up with him!

Fun (sweaty!) playdate at the park with his buddies Micky and Yajur!

Ice cream to celebrate the first baseball game of the season!

Continuing our tradition of making homemade cards for each other! Max took this photo of me and Ben - he did a good job! Ben's card is a play on my go-to grocery store Aldi's logo. Haha!

Grammie visited to see one of Max's ball games and celebrate my birthday, too!

Grandmommy, Granddaddy, Lisa, and Olivia came to Max's game and lunch to cheer him on, and so we could see Olivia one last time before she set off on her adventure to hike the Continental Divide!

February 2021

Here's a peek at some February fun!

Several big research projects and presentations for school this month!

Reading buddies!

Happy birthday to Walter and Saskia!

Saskia's new pet geckos!

Sometimes we get pictures of Max doing his work at school - fun!

Spelling bee winners! Left to right: Max (2nd place) and his friends Kai (1st place) and Rohan (3rd place)

Mom and Dad's big night out!

Craig, DeAnne, and their adorable pup stopped in on their way to Florida! Not sure why I look like I am about to cry in this photo. Haha

Thanks for the cool new shirt Lisa!

Here is a video of a  cool contraption Max built (with Ben as his assistant). He worked really hard on this project, and the end result was pretty neat!

January 2021

Breakfast of champions... cereal, eggs, and dried seaweed. Haha!

Max's best friend had been home sick for a few days, so Max drew him a picture for me to send to his friend's mom. So sweet!

"Mom, make a funny face."

We bumped in to a friend from school at the library! It's so cute to see the kids get excited about books together, and run around to show each other their favorites.

We had a playdate scheduled with a friend at the park, and over the course of the afternoon two other friends from school randomly showed up at the park, too! The kids were SO excited to see each other, and it was pretty neat that we had an impromptu big playdate!

Out for a hike with our best guy and budding photographer!

Max did a research project and presentation about John Adams. He did a GREAT job designing his display, and practicing his public speaking skills!
