I picked up this "tunnel" at a kids consignment sale. Max loves crawling through! (I just looked at the date and realized I meant to share this about two weeks ago! Oops...)

Video: Speed Crawling & a Tunnel 'O Fun
If crawling were an Olympic event, Max would be a contender for the gold. Check out this video and watch him pick up speed as he hits the hardwoods! (He's going to check on Daddy who was baby-proofing all the cabinets in the kitchen... somebody has taken an interest in heavy pots and glass bowls in the lower cabinets!)

Twins
On multiple occasions we have overheard strangers or had them tell us directly that they think Max looks like the E-Trade baby from the television commercials. It happened on our vacation in Boston, at the mall, the grocery store, etc. What do you think? (If you aren't familiar with these commercials click here and prepare to get sucked in to watching funny advertisements with a talking baby!)
At dinner time, in particular, Max often runs his hands through his hair while he eats. Wet, sticky, baby hands leave lots of food in his hair and it usually sticks straight out as it dries. At these moments, he favors actor Gary Busey over the E-Trade baby.

Happy Due Date!
August 28, 2012....enormously pregnant mama-to-be, nervous, excited, waddling, oblivious to the fact that we actually had to wait two more weeks to meet our baby...
August 28, 2013.... over the moon in love, life full of hugs and kisses, grateful and blessed to be Mama to the sweetest little boy in the world! Totally worth the wait.

I turned the setting on the iPhone camera that allows you to see yourself on the screen while you are taking a photo or video. Max was absolutely enamored with his "new friend". He gets really excited when we play it back for him, too!

Big Boy Tub
In his old age, Max is becoming quite an active little guy in the tub. Since it was starting to become a squeeze to fit Max in the baby tub, and he nearly tipped it over at one point we decided to upgrade him to the big tub! We have a non-skid mat in the bottom of the tub and let him have at it. He seems to love having all the extra space to play in the water. Our biggest challenge is trying to keep him from standing up in the tub!

Videos: Cute and Smart
First up, the cute stuff...
We think Max is trying to learn how to give kisses! It's so sweet but usually ends up being a bite on the cheek or this....
Max is living up to the term, "bouncing baby boy"!
Now for proof that our baby is a genius.
He can do all three of these things accurately about 80% of the time! We are officially impressed and would like the world to know we have given birth to a child prodigy.

Here are a few clips of video from Max's first trip to the beach! If you're wondering, he isn't a fan of wearing hats and kept pushing up the brim of this hat which is why it looks all crazy. We gave up trying to fix it after a while. :-)
