The boy who said he didn't need a nap...

Special Mommy & Max Valentine's doughnut date! My tiny Valentine chose chocolate with heart sprinkles. <3

Max's first time drawing people that actually sort of look like people!! Drawn inside a Valentine's card for Daddy...

Taken while eating a snack after having quiet time in his room because, "I'm not tired. I don't need to take a nap!!"

After a while he started giggling saying, "Mommy, my head keeps going!" as he bobbed up and down with the sleepies.

Daddy and Max build a giant lego tower!

Winter Fun!

Excited to bring a dump truck to school for show and tell!

"Mom! I need to do some yoga now."  (He likes these "Cosmic Kids Yoga" videos on YouTube)

Visiting the Chattanooga Zoo with Grammie!

Hide and seek with a three year old is... interesting. Ha!

Southern snow day! (The snow in his wagon is ALL the snow we could scrape off the porch!)

Cousin Olivia came to play!

Life Lately

Super random collection of photos ahead!

"Mommy, my face is cold, too. I need your eye mask." (Puts mask over face and tried to continue playing iPad game even though he can't see!)

Way too much fun playing with the cardboard train my friend Alicia let him take home after her son's third birthday party. It's actually meant to be worn as a costume, but Max prefers to pretend he is the engine, and the costume is a train car he's pulling behind!

Hanging out at the park with a friend from school!

The kids wouldn't hold our hands to walk to the parking lot (me and Sophia's mom), so we made them hold each other's hand... cute!

Photo from a rainy trip to the park in December!

A rainy family walk from December!

Playing in puddles with cousin Olivia over Christmas.

"There is rain on my belly!" (Also from Christmas)

Christmas Morning!

Santa came! Gifts from Santa, Max, and family in New Hampshire.

Second annual breakfast birthday party for baby Jesus!

Max didn't mind blowing out the candle for Jesus one bit! ;-)

Videos to come!

Meeting Baby Natalia!

Steve and Kirsten's newest addition, Natalia, arrived in early November. We've had a few short visits, but had finally a chance for a full morning of baby snuggles in mid-December when we gathered to celebrate Kirsten's birthday and Christmas with friends.

It was Max's first time holding a little baby, and he did great! Needless to say we are all smitten with this sweet little girl. (Natalia is about one month old in these photos)

 Baby yawns!

Daddy and sisters!

So tiny! Hard to believe Max was once that small...

Getting Ready for Christmas

Major thanks to my Uncle Rich...um... Santa... for making a magical phone call to Max on Christmas Eve! The whole phone call lasted about ten minutes, but here's a little peek at the excitement!

"Max, sit on the fireplace and we'll take your picture with the cookies you left for Santa."
"Okay, I will put one hand on the cookies and the other hand in the air. Cheeeeese!"

Trying Rudolph's carrot...
