Max wanted to have a birthday party with his friends this year. Given the pandemic, we kept it very small and let him pick three friends to invite to the playground. They had a blast!

Birthday celebration at school!
The kids set the months up around the "sun," then they carry a globe and walk around the sun to represent how many trips they've made while the class sings the birthday song. A sweet tradition!
Soumya (Yajur's mom) caught this photo from the side with Kai and Yajur's little brothers, Ren (age 4) and Vidur (age 3), off to the side. They loved hanging with the big boys!

Max asked for and received a grabber for his birthday. We went on a neighborhood walk to pick up litter and found a turtle along the way!
Max collected two big bags of trash and we also found a bag of beer cans stuffed under a bush - yikes!
