We had a fun and full October! Photos are a bit out of order, but you'll get the idea. :-)
Max liked trying the different speakers and headphones at a store. We thought he looked like a D.J. with this set on!
Max got a new uniform sweatshirt and he asked me to take his photo the first time he wore it to school!
Handsome photo for the yearbook!
Max had to sell Christmas wreaths as a Cub Scout fundraiser and asked me to take his picture with this scarecrow at someone's house!
Last baseball game of the season! This season was a different experience as all the games were on weeknights after school, and the kids played actual positions instead of just being spread out on the field. We'll likely do baseball again in the spring, and will have to see what that schedule is like. Maybe there will be a Saturday game or two in the mix so grandparents can come!
We went apple picking! Max was disappointed he wasn't allowed to climb trees (rules of the orchard) but he still enjoyed the experience!
Max was making goofy faces when I was trying to take his photo, so I said, "Smile nicely like you do for your school pictures" and then he struck this pose. Haha!
Max got a pair of plastic vampire teeth and he kept calling them his "dentures!" Ben and I were laughing so hard about this one...
Pumpkin carving!
Spooooooky jack-o-lantern!
Blowing out the candle!
Trunk-or-treat with Cub Scouts!
Max's Den Leader, Ms. Jasmine (in the yellow shirt) did a science experiment in her trunk! It was a baking soda and vinegar in a hollowed out pumpkin, but she made it fun for the kids by calling the vinegar "Vampire Drool" and silly names for the other ingredients.
Halloween night with our little monkey!
Per tradition, we went to the Krueger's house for dinner and trick-or-treating! Max took a turn walking around with Ben and Walter, came by the house to empty his bucket, then went back out (down the other side of the street) with Laura and Denise.
First house!
Max had to make a family crest for Cub Scouts. I was cracking up that he decided to list "hot dogs" as a traditional food from our culture. :-)
"These glasses look cool! Mom, take my picture!"
Cub Scouts had a campout with scouts from all over North Georgia. Unfortunately heavy rain was moving in that night, so we ended up putting up all our tent "stuff" and taking it all down without sleeping in it. The daytime activities were fun, though!
Lost another tooth!
Monthly Home Depot craft! We painted it later at home.
Selling wreaths for Cub Scouts!
They had the kids use dog kibble for the slingshots. Max hit the target one time!
Made his own target for shooting a BB gun!
The kids got to put on their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat at all the tents.
Visiting Grandmommy and Granddaddy!
Ben and I were taking a photo of just the two of us and Max hopped in! :-)
