April 2022

April was packed with fun! Get ready for a photo avalanche...

We ran a 5K race as a family!

Family vacation to Mirmar Beach, FL (near Destin) with the Krueger's and Winiarski's!

Palm Sunday at church - this is the last year for palm waving! Next year, Max will be too old. :-(

Science fair presentation! (Photo from Max's teacher - the kids presented throughout the week.)

The school hosted parents on campus for the full science fair, and it was fun to walk around and see all the boards!

Neighborhood Easter egg hunt!

Easter bunny came to our house!

Chocolate Bunny!!

The eggs had candy and letters inside....

....that revealed we are going to the Renaissance Festival as a family!

Looking sharp for church on Easter Sunday!

Dying eggs on Easter Sunday afternoon!

Popsicles at school!

More photos from the 5K!

Chrisi and Laura are the Room Moms for the two lower elementary classes. We'd tried to make it a big class outing for the 5K, but apparently our two families are the only ones who wanted to pay money to get up at the crack of dawn on a Saturday. Oh, well! We had fun anyway. :-)

Max won second place in the under 10 age group, and his friend Vihaan won third place!

Go Mariners! (Impossible to get everyone smiling at the same time. Haha!)

Mommy's first day of her new job!

More vacation photos! Max and Saskia had fun playing Minecraft (a video game) throughout the week.

More Minecraft!

Out for ice cream!

Natalia lost a tooth in the lobby of our condo building! (And the Tooth Fairy found her all the way down in Florida - phew!)

Chatting and playing Barbie's with Natalia!

We made friends with some little girls playing nearby, and they buried Laura!

Max and one of our new friends was next up to be buried!

I believe this was a sand/mud pepperoni pizza!

Steve made Max in to a Sumo Wrestler!

...and a Merman!

Movie time!

Early one morning, Max and Laura went down to the beach for bagels and reading time!

Cool dudes...

(That's a little girl sweatshirt on Steve's head ;-)

Snacks on the beach!  (It was kind of cold and windy that afternoon)

Steve read Harry Potter to the kids, and despite their posture and body language in this photo, they loved it!

The condo building had an indoor/outdoor pool which was a great option for playtime, especially on chillier days (the indoor part of the pool was heated) and on days when there was a rip tide and we weren't allowed in the ocean.

Max looks like a long frog jumping in!

More reading time!
