To celebrate Independence Day, we hosted two families that we've been friends with since the boys were really little. As the date approached, we realized we are the only American's of the bunch! One set of parents is from India and the other is a wife from Japan and a husband from Canada (unfortunately, the Canadian was out of town and couldn't join us!). We had an all American spread for dinner and laughed because the other families have introduced us to their cultures and even though both couples have been in the US for 15-20 years, they'd never tried foods like baked beans! It was fun to share our holiday.
